Long Term Care and also the Sandwich Generation

Long term care may be the 800 pound gorilla within the living room. I learn about it within the line in the grocery store, within the elevator, in the mall, at church as well as on videos. Everyone my maturity is facing it, and it isn't ours we're facing, today.

I'm from the age bracket called the boomer or sandwich generation. Sandwich meaning we have responsibilities for multiple family members. However, we are not the first to be confronted with this phenomenon, but being boomers, we're probably the first to add a name for this huge predicament.

Boomers have altered the paradigms with which we address dilemmas in lots of arenas and i believe we'll rewrite our understanding on this one.

Here are a few of the problems.

Our wonderful health care system, good food and many modern conveniences have led to an existence expectancy that is more than ever. Therefore over the last in our healthy and productive years, whenever we ought to be saving that last little bit of money we will need in the future, or paying off our mortgages, or recuperating from losses in the stock exchange, traveling or enjoying our grandchildren, a lot of us have parents who are still living, despite the fact that not as strong because they once were, continue to be healthy. Our grandparents were active participants in the free enterprise system owning farms, stores, ranches, as well as other kind of business. The main reason so many of us are experiencing trouble, is that we do not own our own businesses. Very few jobs offer flexibility of time and put to permit involvement in multigenerational obligations and privileges.

That is why I started searching for a career that will permit me to work as much as my Type A personality requires and doing this round the needs of the multigenerational family.

What provided that opportunity to me?

It had been the web and having an internet business. Through an online business gives flexibility of both time and space to be involved in the lives of a 92-year-old or a 6-year-old and every age in-between.
