Изначально выпускалась только многотиражная газета, но в последствии некоторые отряды стали выпускать помимо неё и практически ежедневные информационные издания, радио-газеты. <br>Также, в 1999 году был осуществлен совместный проект с [[театральный отряд|театральным отрядом]] — съемка учебного фильма по журналистике второго уровня «Хождение по…».<br> С течением времени в программу отряда также стали входить: подготовка тематических дней лагеря по тематике, связанной с журналистикой, проведение учебы по журналистике для основных отрядов, фотографирование всех мероприятий лагеря и периодический выпуск слайд-шоу по тематическим дням.<br>В 2010, 2013 и 2014 годах профильного отряда журналистики не существовало, в эти годы лагерную газету «Профиль» выпускали профильные отряды по очереди под руководством Василия Русанва. <br>

Об отряде

Профильный театральный отряд впервые был организован в ЛТО 98 для подготовки ребят к работе в течение учебного года над газетой «Остров» и другими изданиями организации. Изначально выпускалась только многотиражная газета, но в последствии некоторые отряды стали выпускать помимо неё и практически ежедневные информационные издания, радио-газеты.
Также, в 1999 году был осуществлен совместный проект с театральным отрядом — съемка учебного фильма по журналистике второго уровня «Хождение по…».
С течением времени в программу отряда также стали входить: подготовка тематических дней лагеря по тематике, связанной с журналистикой, проведение учебы по журналистике для основных отрядов, фотографирование всех мероприятий лагеря и периодический выпуск слайд-шоу по тематическим дням.
В 2010, 2013 и 2014 годах профильного отряда журналистики не существовало, в эти годы лагерную газету «Профиль» выпускали профильные отряды по очереди под руководством Василия Русанва.
